About

Simple project planning with visible assumptions.

HomeFix Tools exists to make everyday measurements and material estimates easier to understand.

What HomeFix Tools is

HomeFix Tools is a collection of browser-based calculators and practical guides for common home projects. The site focuses on simple planning questions: how much wall area needs paint, how many tiles cover a floor, how much volume a small slab represents, or when a chosen maintenance interval lands on the calendar.

We do not require an account to use the calculators. Standard calculator inputs are processed in the browser. Where a tool saves progress, such as the maintenance checklist, it uses local browser storage on the device.

What we are trying to do well

We favor transparent formulas, editable assumptions, worked examples and plain-language limitations. A useful calculator should not hide the arithmetic. It should make it easier for you to check whether the inputs make sense before you rely on an output.

What we are not

HomeFix Tools is not a contractor, engineering firm, inspection service or building-code authority. The site does not inspect your property and does not certify that a plan is safe or compliant. High-risk or regulated work may require qualified professionals and local approvals.
